In 1998, the company established strategic partnership with a law firm in Chinese mainland and started to provide distressed asset management services. The company was renamed to its current name, Alpha & Leader Risks and Assets Management Co. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Alpha & Leader") in 2004.

Alpha & Leader has been committed to credit management services and constantly develops and expands. In 2009, Alpha & Leader Business Management Consulting (Guangzhou) Ltd. was founded. It then acquired a credit report company in Guangzhou in the following year. This has laid a solid foundation for Alpha & Leader's further expansion.

In August 2021, Rongzhong Financial (stock code: HK3963) acquired 51% of equity of Alpha & Leader Risks and Assets Management Co. Ltd. Rongzhong Financial is a company incorporated in 2001 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2016. Rongzhong Financial is engaged in providing financial leasing services for companies across China.

As of 2024, Alpha & Leader has more than 200 employees and maintains offices in 11 cities in China (i.e., Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Qingdao, Nanjing, Wuhan, Chongqing) and wholly-owned subsidiaries in Singapore and the United States.
